Working Class Mentality

We do not wear fancy suits
We wear Levi jeans and boots
We didn’t go to your nice schools
And we’re not the ones who are writing the rules
We don’t go to the fucking opera
We watch boxing and football instead
At the game or in front of the telly
We’ll stay the same till we are dead

This is our reality
Working class mentality

We are the ones on the factory floor
We are the ones who your girls adore
We are the ones who are building your cars
And we are the ones who wrecks all the bars
We are expected to live here in silence
Out in the suburbs in concrete towers
The place for eruptions of meaningless violence
Frustration and anger in the darkest hours

This is our reality
Working class mentality

You think that you can pull us down
You think that you rule the whole fucking town
You think we are puppets, you think we are fools
You think we will follow all of your rules
Just because we’re drinking cheap beer
Eating junkfood and stick to our kind
You watch the violence filled with fear
But cannot see what lies behind

This is our reality
Working class mentality
